Collins looked pretty good in Ian Murray's testimonial ! Few cruyff turns ! Dominated Pires and Viera and scored a peach from outside the box !! It's on YouTube!!! Pure Hibs class!!

Saw him on sky at transfer deadline programme .He certainly still looks fit .never forget the players complaining that when he first became manager he was challenging them to press up competitions and winning and they were all complaining Or is that just another one of those stories that were not true.

Watching him a Latas that day was more entertaining than anything else that season.

I see yet more accurate reporting from the evening yams....

At the bottom of the article it claims JC scored the opening goal of the 98 WC...

My memory may be a bit hazy but im pretty sure we were 0-1 down when JC scored that penalty which would surely mean that a Brazilian scored the opening goal?

Typical poor reporting.

Cafu :agree:

And Tommy Boyd scored the winner.

Actually, the article has a typo. Substitute the word "game" for "goal" and it's correct.

I heard Collins has fallen out with the Gala coaching staff...they asked him to practise booting the ball the length of the park at training, he refused saying he only does one touch passing, an angry exchange occured and he was sent home from training and told not to return until he agrees to kick the ball up in the air as high as he can at every opportunity....he has made his case to the local rag, The Borders Farm Implement Monthly, and says all of the above was made up by a poster on hibs.net
