You can't help but think there has to be something more to this .Why would he come to St Mirren Presumably he has been trying to get signed up else where and no one wants him .Why. it can't exactly be Danny Lennon's coherent ,intelligent chat as he rambles on talking trash half the time It certainly can't be the allure of living in a town like Paisley ,Although he is right next to the Airport .Be interesting to see how it works out .Most Buddies I know wanted another Centre Half and rid of Goodwin as he is walking bomb scare every other game:confused:

Arriving in England, Djemba-Djemba was unknown to many fans and pundits alike. He established his aggressive style on his debut against Arsenal in the FA Community Shield, with a tackle on Arsenal's Sol Campbell which Arsène Wenger called "obscene".

He'll fit in well there.

That's an unbelievable signing btw! How the heck did they pull that one off?! He'd walk in any team in the league, and at 32 you'd have thought he would be more than capable if playing English Championship football ATLEAST!

Great signing for St Mirren and the SPFL.

It's pretty well known that before he finished his career he wanted to have a pie in the Alamo bar and a vodka and Irn Bru in the Wee Howf before he finally hung up his boots.

If Beckhams' ego trip in Miami doesn't work out he is going to buy the Wee Barrel and start charging away fans proper money for the soup and scran before the game.

Barca legend Victor did. Along with Stevie Archibald.

Frank McGarvey too :agree:

Victor and Archibald were getting big money in those days .While they don't have a lot of debt because they sold the old love street and council helped with new site and development as it is in Ferguslie Park, they run the risk of unsettling the squad if that's what they have done to acquire him .

As I said previously the fans felt they needed a centre half but may pop down and watch him just to see how he does ..

Talking of Frank McGarvey .i remember living in a flat in love street as a student .Celtic beat the saints 5 1 to win the league on last day of the season and a Celtic fan threw a brick through our bedroom window. Had forgotten about that and completely off topic ..

I really doubt he's going to be half as good as some people seem to think he's going to be..

Not saying it's a good or bad signing but where has he been and what has he done lately. Has he been more places than Billy Broon? If so, why? Where's the statisticians when you need them?

Is he really that good?

Obviously he's got a 'massive' club on his CV but I can't remember him doing anything notable at all.

i predict he will stroll it, a mainstay in the cameroon squad for years so cant be all that bad, just depends on his hunger for the game, could be a great signing.
