History books show current hearts team formed in 1875 when they amalgamated with a team called st andrews , they can't even get their history right , zoomers , anybody heard this before ?

This has been alluded to on here a number of times in the past. Think the general consensus is that they lied about their year purely to appear older than us. They mention it a lot, 'Edinburgh's premier club' 'Edinburgh's oldest football team' etc. Anything to help fuel their delusions of grandeur. Good luck finding any proof of them being around in 1874!
