Difficult to say given that we dont know if there will be any new signings this week.

At the moment Id say something similar to the Celtic game, but I really hope Hanlon is back (Butcher seemed to suggest he would be so heres hoping!).

I hope he picks the strongest team he has available come match day. Being realistic St Johnstone are likely to finish above us and in the top 6 and with us sitting relatively comfortable in the league I think we should maybe focus as much on the cup as we possibly can.

Can Stevenson play centre mid as well as he does LM? I think he could. If he could bring his drive and energy, his new found attacking prowess and his pace, I think he could be the secret holding CM our team needs. It would free Craig to go into the CAM role, where he could rotate with Harris and Stanton as the three behind the striker.

As much as Lewis' LM adventure has been a revelation, and I don't really want to see it taken away from him - I think in theory that he should be able to attribute his newly unearthed skills to the centre mid role to as great effect as he has on the flank.

Could it be a Terry Butcher masterstroke?

You've seen his last two games ye? I'm a fan of his but composure especially seems to have deserted him.

He played a lot of good football over Christmas, I think he could benefit from a rest to keep him fresh mentally and physically, I would put him on the bench.

Unchanged team for me. Craig had a poor game on Sunday but is our team captain and top scorer.

For me, the future is with Stanton and Harris who look like great prospects. They've got pace, energy and can beat their man. We've wasted enough years persevering with LS. He's fine as a squad player and will be on the bench most weeks under TB IMO

We'll see. Might depend who TB brings in

Don't know, but converting Lewis into a goal scoring wide midfielder will do me fine just now in the LS department! :greengrin

I like the idea. Stevenson is playing too well to be dropped, but Craig is out of position at present so swapping them makes sense. If there are no signings (very unlikely), I'd go with the following

Williams
Forster Nelson Hanlon McGivern
Stevenson
Harris Robertson Stanton Craig
Collins

Posted this team on another thread but if the team are fully fit our strongest team in my opinion is

-----------Williams------------
Forster-Neson-Hanlon-Mcgivern
----Robertson-Tudor Jones----
Zoubir-----Stanton------Harris
------------Collins------------

If Craig Returns to form I would obviously have him over OTJ but ATM he wouldn't get in my U20's team
Zoubir is not the best but I feel he has more to offer than Stevenson i would hope we signed a left sided winger with pace on loan.

The defence definitely needs changed!
Hope Stanton & Harris stay in the team even if there's an influx of attacking loan players.

I like this team but Hanlon has to be at centre-half for me. Him and Nelson had been doing well and they need to be first picks. Impossible for me to say who gets RB between Boateng and Forster though, no way to judge.

But midfield and up top I like the look of it, though I doubt Craig will be dropped.

I toyed with idea of keeping Hanlon at cb most on here think maybe Mcgivern is the weak link in the back 4 so thought I'd tinker it a wee bit but then there isn't a lot to choose from. The middle and front two I just thought Craig could do with a break in the cup game. With what we have at the club there should now be enough competition too keep them on their toes

Major competition attacking wise now

Strikers - heff, Collins, handling, Haynes, cummings

Attacking mid/wide - Stanton, Harris, watmore, cairney, haynes, handling

Aswell with links for tade and the wolves youngster. And guys like Craig Stevenson Robertson can also play wide or attacking

Hope the competition for places brings the best out of the players

Don't know why but I always feel uncomfortable throwing young inexperienced loanees into defensive positions straight away. Have no such fears about the attacking ones.:cb

I think he will start with Collins instead of Cummings and McGivern will probably not make it so Stevenson will play there. Pretty certain that's the formation Terry wants to play.
