Same here but think it's to not be as heavy in Edinburgh but someone local can do a Michael fish for you

Not so torrentialhere. Can't rememberthe last time ER was waterlogged, so can't see a postponement, unless the m8 closes.

It's to be a hail showery day apparently.

Are days like this not what under-soil heating was made for?

I can vaguely remember a newyear derby in the late 80s getting called of very late because of a water logged pitch .

I'm 5 mins from ground and it's windy raining but not torrential.

Game should be fine.

I remember the worst rain I've ever seen at a game was a friendly about 5 years ago against Raith. Game was cancelled at half time

The game would be called off if the under soil heating could evaporate water. Abandoned due to steam.

I mind back to the Mowbray days in the inter toto thingy, was their not a game that should've been abandoned due to heavy rain but it went ahead, canny mind the team we played, FWIW I wasn't even at the game(due to geography) but I sort of recall reading about it!

Anyway hope it goes ahead as I've been looking forward to this game all weekend. GGTTH :flag:

I remember! Thunder and lightening too! Pretty sure we smashed them and their keeper always threw it out to his players and hardly ever kicked it:greengrin

Crank it up to max and as the raindrops touch the grass they boil and turn into steam.

Dinaburg. We beat them 5-0 in atrocious conditions.

Vetra Vilnius.

Game should have been called off but someone took pity on them travelling that distance. Talk at the time was they couldn't afford to come back to play a rescheduled fixture.

Interesting reading Mowbray's comments about Grant Brebner. Speaks about how terrific he was in the dressing room and how he has an infectious hunger for the game. He emptied him about 2 months later.

I almost forgot that Brebner and McManus started the Mowbray era but didn't last until the end of August before being shipped out.
