Our defence isn't ideal with 2 injuries, so think maybury will start unless there's another youngster that's ready? Anyone know about Donaldson or is he still on loan?

Think Stanton deserves a start for how well he has done lately, cairney for me hasn't been nearly good enough all he has done is take good corners which...isn't too hard is it. Hope we see handling back in as I like him linking play between midfield and attack and he has a good understanding with Harris and Stanton which could open them up. Also hoping Tudor jones coming in makes Craig more inclined to drive foward

I would much rather see the experience of Maybury as opposed to a youngster getting rippped against Celtic and having his confidence shattered. Maybury has served us reasonably well in a position where experience can be the telling factor.

Heff has to start for me as he's our biggest goal threat & I don't imagine we'll get too many chances on Sunday so we have to take them when they come.

Heff is better at that IMO so I'd start him with Collins.

You might be right but butcher still mentioned the point I made . He could easily have said the under 20 s are away and that's one of the reasons but he specifically said no point in putting youngster on bench when not ready it just gives them impression they have made it .maybe just some psychology and throwing the gauntlet down to them .Caldwell was out on loan and Danny injured so it wasn't about them

Hibernian will be without injured defenders Paul Hanlon and Ryan McGivern for the visit of champions Celtic.

Midfielder Scott Robertson is suspended but forward Danny Handling is fit again and scored in a midweek U20s match.

Hibernian manager Terry Butcher: "I see this as a one-off game; our results against Celtic won't determine where we finish the season.

"Training has been tremendous this week. The boys were in on Monday and quickly got the defeat to St Mirren out of the system.
"We've been working on sharpness; pressing the ball and keeping the ball when we have it.

I like the look of this team, considering the amount of injuries we have. I posted thes same one in a previous thread about possible teams. The link up between Harris and Stanton and Harris was good against st mirren. I would change OTJ for Taiwo or Thomson if they were available for selection, more chance of Taiwo since he played for the 20's during the week. If Donaldson or Black are ready for the step up then give them a chance, if not stick with maybury and put handling infront of him.

Not looking forward to tomorrow. If Stevenson plays at the back we are in trouble. He is a terrible full back. I'd bring OTJ back into the middle with Nelson and put Foster and Maybury at RB and LB. I'd bring Thomson back in the middle with Craig. Harris on one side and Heff and Collins up front. No idea who else is play wide either Handling or Cairney.

Think if he is playing two up front he will want the industry and pace of Cummings to close them down ..Heff doesn't have that so may come off bench .stanton will get a game at some point but yep he might not start him . don't know if Cairney has recovered from virus he had so again he may not start him so think a few places up for grabs tomorrow .
