Has anyone ever received a "charge notice" letter from this company? I received one today stating that my green car (my car is actually white) was parked on a grass verge/pavement at the Royal Public House Car Park (no idea where that even is) on a day when I was at work and had parked my car round the corner from work. I have googled this company and, shock, it looks like a scam!! Has anyone ever had these letters sent to them at all? I presume I can keep ignoring the letter (plus all future letters) that they have sent me?!

No scam, they are an actual company, i wouldnt worry about paying it, they will get bored sending letters, if it had been the traffic wardens then fair enough but nothing will come of it. I also had a few letters from them

Thing is, the car they are describing in the letter isn't mines; the registration plate is but the colour is wrong and my car wasn't even parked at the place which they are quoting I was parked at! Like you said, they'll get bored eventually as I keep ignoring their letters.

Possible error in the registration mark, or worse, cloned plate?
Do we know where about the 'Royal' public house is?

I tried googling it and couldn't find anywhere in Edinburgh! Apparently if you put in your reference number or your reg number into their website it shows you the photos of your car so I tried this but both kept coming up with an invalid reference number/ref plate.

I think this was the same mob who tried to do me for 'parking beyond the limit of stay' at the McDonalds outside Forfar, just off of the A90.

A lot of people from Dundee or south Angus drive to here and then lift share, meaning McDonalds hired this company to implement parking control. They said they had pictured my car entering at 8am and being there until 7pm at night. Whilst I was in the car parks at those times, they somehow missed me leaving the car park after picking up my mate (who didn't get a ticket) and dropping him off again.

I called up and demanded to see the photos (as I too kept getting invalid references) and they acknowledge a simple mistake (they had missed my exit from the car park, as a lorry was following me out and obscured my number plate).

If you're confident it wasn't you, either ignore them or demand photographic evidence (and then probably ignore them anyway, as only traffic warden's can legally enforce parking fines).

Ah ok, well in that case it definitely wasn't me as that wasn't where I was parked as I was at work (with my car parked along the road) which isn't anywhere near there! Will just ignore them, thanks for the help everyone!

This :agree:

Con artists who use intimidation tactics to get money from you. In its simplest form, by paying, you're keeping them running in order that they can con others
