Both "punishments" are an utter joke.

Betting against the club that you play for is one of the most despicable things that you can do in the game and should result in instant contract termination.

What's the problem with betting on your own team to win? Surely it would make the player try harder which is a good thing. As for the punishment, is anyone really surprised.

It doesn't say anywhere that he bet on his team to win. It simply states that he made bets involving several different matches, involving his own teams game.

So it could have been anything. Such as drawing or losing. Number of red/yellow cards, number of corners/freekicks... etc.

It does say that the complaint made, doesn't make any allegation that he bet against his own club. But nothing was said to indicate that he didn't either.

Nothing to do with the SFA, punishment is decided by an independant tribuneral, made up of different people from the last time. Fact is this time tribuneral made a better and much more realistic decision, it was previous tribuneral who were the joke

Best to know all the facts before making a judgement.

Sportsound last night said he'd bet on his team to win.

Farce, even though his punishment was more than Black's its not nearly enough.

Have to agree with this. Do people think players with these sort of morals give a **** about missing 3-6 games??? Not in my opinion. To quote the yams, they would think "it's all been worth it."
