Just watched MOTD2 on the BBC website and at the end they showed a little snippet of Everton's junior fan day (should be on BBC1 at about 12:05am). A kids supporters club member got to do the PA, another got to shadow Martinez, three got to shadow the officials and lots of other stuff. Here's a story about it: http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/2014/01/10/junior-blues-join-goodison-team

It wouldn't cost much to run and could really put a whole lot of value onto the Hibs Kids experience (which I'm not knocking, but I don't see how this could do anything but improve it).

This is something the club are actively looking at. They have already taken steps to give a memorable experience for kids.

That initiative is great and you get an awful lot for your money, but I would still say the Everton style day is something entirely different. It's something which would cost the club little to nothing to put on and therefore make it possible for those who couldn't afford to spend £80. And there's something quite magical about being 'the only kid who got to do something', as opposed to being part of a reasonable sized group.

I'm really hoping this will be a memorable experience.
The cost of the day is £160 (£80 per person) Adult and child....
Will report back after my son has been on his experience...
