pointless stats and a complete waste of space when certain clubs put out nonsense figures.

I doubt there's been 47k at any non-European game at Parkhead this season, never mind an average.

Edit: In fact, this is quite apt and speaks volumes...

It is, in the case of Celtc and The Big Team, tickets sold. For everyone it is the attendance, defined as the number of people who actually attended.

Hearts real attendance must be about 120,000 then?

As has been said, meaning less stats as there are clearly doubts over the validity of Hearts figures and even more so Celtic's!

Aberdeen have seen a massive increase as they have been below us for years so just goes to show what a good, well performing and winning team can do. I'm hoping Butcher establishes himself in the remainder of this season and into next and maybe this time next year we'll be up a thousand or two.

Will be difficult though as we likely lose the derby fixture and next season we would have been due two at home. It has to be noted that our average has been largely swelled by the brilliant derby crowd last week.

So in reality, the Dons and ourselves are the best two supported teams in the league. (Although I'm sure Celtic's real average is over 12,000 but they are a bunch of plastic fans and don't really count :greengrin)

Hmmmm a wee ploy by Celtic not to be so badly embarrassed...they artificially reduce capacity to 40k meaning Aberdeen can get 8k allocation...whereas they would have to offer 12k if they did not pull this caper :tsk tsk:

Reckon Aberdeen will take a good crowd but 12k to an early round cup game in Glasgow. Doubt they would have taken that. Maybe MC5 Don would have a view though. They do have the cup semi final the week before though so if they win that they might take 8k. They might even take 8k regardless.

Did we not take about 8-10k to one of our cup games at Ibrox in the last few years or am I imagining it?

Between 5 and 6K. We got the 7.5K Broomloan Rd stand but didn't quite fill it. Cracking day out though.

I wouldn't say pointless.

We can look at our own figures and see at the moment we are +600 on last season.

Well done the Hibs supporters :-)

Another thing, loosely related, is that celtcs attendances were the hardest hit when sevco were formed.

I'm sure Hibs will be aware of this and looking at ways to minimise any impact.

We sold 6,500 tickets for our 3-0 Scottish Cup win. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLV-DCTD2OA)

For some stange reason, they didn't allocate the whole Broomloan Stand but had two small (lower )sections set aside for home fans.

As I remember it, they kept back those sections to see how our sales went but if we had sold out we would've got the whole stand.

Yep, that's right, I just thought it strange htat they put a couple of hundred home fans in there when they had thousands of empty seats in the rest of the stadium.

Just having a look at Hearts attendance's and they're all pretty much over 13,000 apart for the 7-0 Celtic game which was 10,636. Anyone else think this seems odd? Especially because Celtic would have sold out the away end

They use tickets sold and cup games aren't on the season ticket so it's probably the only real figure this season!
