Hibs have to agree the price with the opposition. It could be that RRFC want this price so as to maximise any potential income from the tie:dunno:

20 and 10 seems fair enough to me.

I always think it's worth the punt, in the time it's been running and when I've taken it, I think only twice it worked against me and I'm no that bothered as Hibs get the dosh.

It's the cup, £20 seems fair enough . Is a fiver really going to stop you from going?

Missed a trick Hibs let kids in for a fiver or £22 for an adult and 1 or 2 kids crowd likely to be 10-12k with that pricing now

Good prices, considering they are cheaper than a league match.

This is the biggest match of our season so far so no excuses, it's time to attend.

Raith will also benefit, which I like. They are a small, family club from a big town full of sevco fans. They deserve better as do their excellent management team who are constantly fighting an uphill battle.

There's another reason for going. Scottish football...use it or lose it!

CTU is proving a real bargain. £25 for 4 games and counting.

Hibs simply look to make money on back of feel good factor w butcher and against a weaker opposition. The clubs about getting money in remember..

Then spending as much as possible on players, which is what the supporters want. Remember.

Well done Hibs great ticket prices at £20 and £10, that's defo fair value for a home Scottish cup tie. Hopefully the lower prices will attract a bigger crowd plus its a game we have a good chance of winning Hail Hail

Crowd will be nowhere near that, not at those prices anyway. We are not getting that for league games and that is when season tickets are valid. It is the sort of game where a good few season ticket holders without a cup top up tend to decide to take a week off and do something else as they hasve not paid in advance so don't feel obliged to go.

Unless Raith bring an army of fans much bigger than your average SPL away support - to be fair they might bring a decent crowd as often lower division teams carry a big support in the cup as it is a chance to go to a ground they may not have been to in a while and might not get to again for a while - I don't see the crowd breaking the 10k barrier and could be around 7/8k.

Girl in my work is a Raith fan and says they expect to bring about 1.5K.

Reckon that means a crowd of circa 8K.

I've got a CTU but will have to give it a miss because of the kick off time.

2pm ko suits me as I can get the last train back no problem, downside is the train will be rammed on the way up for the rugby.

We had 6.5k vs Stranraer midweek in the League Cup. For a highly winnable Saturday afternoon Scottish Cup tie we should get at least 1500 more home fans.

So with a good travelling support I'll say 9.5k.

2 wins out of our next 3 should see a decent crowd

Didn't get the CTU. However there will be 4 of us at it instead of just me. Elder son and burd coming home from Paddyland for it, plus the missus. Then a Gaberlunzie gig at night!! Happy days!

No I will be there with my boy and appreciate Raith need to agree to any reductions.

Had a look at the cup competition rules and it seems that CTU are included in the calculated gate receipts at the equivalent admission price as if they've paid to get in (although the first 1,100 can be excluded). So if we have (say) 6,100 adult CTUs then the opposition get 2,500 x 20 = £50k - even though those people haven't paid to get in for that match. You then need to add the paid admissions and make allowance for the 20% the home club gets to keep of course.

i'm sure the game will still be profitable with hospitality and all but thought this was quite interesting - games with small numbers of walk ups / away fans won't be swelling the coffers by much.

It's probably the case that if a game is expected to have low numbers of walk ups and away fans then Hibs make more money with 10 quid admission than they do at 25 - less 'phantom' admissions to pay the opposition for!

I disagree that we're looking at a less than 10k crowd. I realise STs don't apply for this one but if we get a decent results, and performances, in the run up, we might see a scaled down version of the 'feel good factor' that led to us getting 16,000 Hibbys for the derby

11-12,000 I think.
