Gutted beyond belief that he did a lecture at my uni one summer and my ****tard boss wouldnt let me have the evening off.

He's come through as a genuine guy with a rare ironic sense of humour and an ability to get the best out of average players who are down on their luck.

It's quite a turn around. Many will remember him from his Rangers days and wouldn't have dreamed he'd turn up at ER in anything but disguise.
