Just read in the paper (Sunday Mail) he is a free agent and has spoken to unnamed clubs in Scotland, China and Japan. Just wonder if we are looking at him. I remember him being a decent player for Kilmarnock

He was very good. Attacking midfielder. Strong and fast. Good at set pieces. Would be worth a short term deal!

It looks like for whatever reason he has only played 21 games since leaving Killie? He was a great player with them but not sure what has happened since?

Would be a fantastic signing if fit. Exactly what we are missing at the moment.

The concern would be firstly his wages - I'm sure he'd have been earning above our top salary but is he ready to take a cut? And secondly is he a good fit from a character point of view now the squad are clearly working their socks off?

Could have a Latapy type impact if those things can be overcome though.......

Was it not mixu(team mates for finland) that managed to convince him to sign for killie on loan? Im sure he was on 20k a week at some team in ukraine/russia and killie were paying him a fraction of that circa 1.5k a week. Great player and if fit would be a really good signing.

I'd imagine the only teams in Scotland that could afford his wages are Celtic and Hearts.

He was on c.£40k per week tax free when he was at Rubin.

You need that sort of income if you live in Finland

He looked really good at Killie must be a reason he wasnt geting a game at his respective club, injury? Decent player of the calibre hibs require....wages will be an issue if china are a possibility?!

According to his own self-assessment he is good enough to play for anyone in the SPL apart from Celtc.

Are clubs in China still throwing silly money at average players? If so he could easily end up there.

I don't think his wages are a concern. If he's been released then he is currently on £0.00. Depends what clubs he is interesting.
What would worry me is why he only played a handful off games since leaving Killie.

If he's butchers type of player then he could work his magic and give the boy a chance to prove himself.

Was superb for Killie but was a deep lying playmaker IIRC. Don't think he's what we need right now but would still be very pleased if he were to end up with us.

Tax for earning over £150k per annum is 50% i.e. £20k a week or £1.04m p.a.

Small change for the tachemeister!

He's 30 years old now. I read the but in the Mail and he said that this will be "the final 4 years of his career" and when he was younger he was "only interested in the money". The interview gave the impression that he's now looking for somewhere to settle down for the end of his career.
