Agreed. Ref had a great game and tried to let it flow.

Only thing he didn't do was send one of the dirty Hertz players off, a lot of dodgy tackles going in and a couple lucky to stay on the park, other than that, good ref.

One of the best performances on the pitch. Think he only made 1 mistake. Heff was fouled on edge of box

agreed, great game, he let a few things go from both teams to keep the game going...well done.

Not often we get a decent Ref in a derby. Thought he was very fair!!

Could have booked the guy for the piss poor tackle on Collins but that apart he was very good.

I thought there should have been more bookings too however on reflection it's much better for the game not to throw out the cards. Top marks for the ref.

No complaints about the ref. tried to let it flow, and kept control. Missed a few little things but that's to be expected

Was worried when walker went down (guess what CT would have done), but he was not fooled, and well, he gave us a pen many wouldn't

Yeah very good performance from the ref tonight. Not often you say that. I or 2 mistakes but overall first class.
(maybe a sending off for one of THEM would have a capped a fine display)

Don't agree, thought he let them away with murder

I think Hearts will disagree but that was a fine performance.

Wasn't rash with his bookings, controlled the players, let the game flow.

We can have no complaints

Ref had a good game, particularly with the two penalty decisions.

The ref was really good, he didn't go down the usual Scottish referee path of flashing cards for silly things, kept the game flowing when he could, and wasn't intimidated by players getting on at him.

you could say he could have booked a few more of their challenges, but at the end of the day we've had far far worse refs, would be happy to see him again.

Loved Locke's comment that our penalty was "contreversial". Wife didn't like what I said back to the telly!

I thought the ref had a good game and got the 2 major calls right. Glad he left the tattood freak on to suffer.

Thought he was awful tbh, 2 bookings for their players? Must have been 20 fouls at least.

Aye right Lockie, your team was kicking lumps out of us....

The boy who pulled down Heff, was last man, should have been a red card, but he gave the yams the foul?

Four - Robinson, Paterson, Stevenson and Walker.

Four - Robinson, Paterson, Stevenson and Walker.Fair enough, could have been 10 though, fouled for 90 minutes.

There's a thread in praise of the ref on kickback too. There's still some decent types among them.

Me too. There were several wild challenges that should have produced cards.

Thought he got most decisions right. Seemed oblivious to some handballs in the first half, never picked them up on their time wasting all the time the game was at 0-0 and, most bizarrely, never booked Paterson for dismantling the net when they scored their goal.

I agree. His positioning for both penalty decisions was excellent.

That **** Thomson would have 100% given them a penalty when that little **** Walker dived. So so glad he wasn't ref today. Just shows the difference depending on the ref. Thought he done well tonight

Yup. Not seen reference to this anywhere else but it was a blatant tug on Heff near the end when he would have been clean through on goal. The ref didn't want the controversy of having to send the yam off. At least he got the dive and the foul on Stevenson right.
