Has it not been found out the rule about 1 out 1 in policy is only when the contract is terminated by mutual consent or when the players contract expires? Hence they canny replace Adam King :confused:

Also its at the SFA/SPFL's discretion so there is no guarentee they will approve it (especially the dodgy way they are trying to get Rudi) it seems most folk are interperating this 1out1 in policy a foregone conclusion.

Yeah the SFA ban is over 21's.
The transfer embargo, the media keep saying there is a one in one out rule. No there isn't!!! If hearts lose a player due to his contract ending, then they can apply for special dispensation to bring in a replacement. There is no assurances that it will be accepted. And to me, if they have willingly sold Adam King to bring in someone else, they should be told where to go.

They were banned from registering over 21's until 1st of Feb, If they were out of Admin before january. This was a punished for going into admin by the SFA i believe, instead of a financial penalty this is what they got (And one which BDO were delighted with at the time)

The other embargo is an automatic embargo for being in Admin under the SPFL rules which were drafted last summer, and Hearts agreed to.

Now it has come to light about this 1 out 1 in policy at the SFA/SPFl (cant mind which one) when in Admin at their discretion.
This rule has no become FACT in many places that hearts are allowed to sign players if one leaver - Under 21's as of now as per my first paragraph and anyone after the 2st of Feb as per my second paragraph.

neither of which, I believe, fall within the rules of the 1 out 1 in policy. So my conclusion is they wont sign an under 21 player as a replacement for Adam king. And they Wont sign rudi for the terminstion of a goalkeeping coach who has never made the squads contract.

Not convinced it will be today .When is weekly T B press conference this week or because there is no game on this week is there not one ,as that will be the place where we will get info if anything is at least being worked on or whether possible targets have fallen through. The weight of expectation can put extra pressure on and the more transfers that fall through the more pressure mounts for a signing ,so think club keeping low profile now till there is something definite to announce

but there is no point in panic buys at last minute just for sake of it .It hasn't worked for us so .

Still confident we will get at least two players in ,but if it doesn't happen then then like some others I am fine with this ,as it's clear he is forward planning for the summer (delayed gratification ) a concept some folk seem unwilling to buy into.
Yes Ross county got players in and got a short term boost ,but then couldn't beat Her7s at home so no point comparing ourselves to other teams . If we are after a better quality of player than what we have we need to be sure that's the case ,or the young players we have been talking about on other threads suddenly get benched and their development stifled.They are the future of the club if nurtured in right way.:rolleyes::hibees

Yes the word punt would imply gamble indeed but I meant the same kind of gamble as you take with all signings. It's probably only another rumour anyway but if he did come I would see him as being different to what we have already. He has the experience we don't have with Collins and our young forwards, although Heffernan has more. He also has pace and strength , which Heff lacks, and so we could do with and I've seen him score a couple of decent goals in the past, I forget his misses, conveniently. However, I wouldn't want him long term to be honest unless as cover, for something better.

Thats my opinion of him as well tbh. I wouldnt question it if Butcher signs him as I have faith in his management, but purely based on what Ive seen from him in the past hes nothing special. Big and strong maybe, but his record in front of goal is so poor - Id much rather we brought in players to try and compliment what we have, and particularly to try and bring more out of Collins who is still a fairly young guy and needs time.

NO, Hanlon is fit and could have played against Celtic but wasnt risked. I believe this lad will be signed as a RB.

I actually think we missed Forster getting forward in the last couple of games. He's decent on the ball and his height offers a lot with crosses into the back post

No. Nelson and Hanlon are a good pairing - when Paul comes back I'd go back to them at CB and Forster and McGivern at FB, possibly Boateng at LB if he can play there. I'm not convinced about McGivern.

This is what they do though, when we got the TB management team we knew we would sign players like this... I really don't see the problem.

Aaron Doran was playing reserves football for Blackburn, Mckay for Northampton and he picked up Tansey, Vincent, Draper and Warren from non-league English football and they were competing for 2nd place last year

Don't know anything about the loanees and trust TB that we need them but the most refreshing thing recently has been our own youngsters given a chance and, in the case of Stanton and Forster, they've shone to an extent. Handling and Cummings have had patches where they looked good and of course Harris is the one we all have high hopes for.
Among this Hanlon and Stevenson have looked much better so imo I hope the loan players will boost the squad and maybe take some pressure of the younger players but not to the detriment of their development.
As I said though I trust that TB will have the balance right

They will all have ability however lets see how they do without writing them off because they werent very good on Football Manager. They all appear to have pace which is what we have been lacking for years.

Definitely not happening. He was in Edinburgh for non football reasons and people jumped to conclusions. 2+2=5. That's the fun of the window I suppose.

Stop judging prople off youtube clips! Wait until you have seen them play for US! People moan about the lack of signings, and when we sign them, they get written off because of how they look in ONE youtube video.
