The cuddly face of fascism, or just a total misrepresentation?
yeezus.

Not surprised that UKIP support fox hunting. I wouldn't describe them as fascists but aren't they basically the old Conservative party? I remember watching a bit of their conference on BBC news and seeing framed pictures of Margaret Thatcher.

I read in a newspaper article once that 'fascism' is so overused as an insult nowadays that it's effectively meaningless as a description of someone's politics.

So much so that Islam has become the new fascism.

I wouldn't say it's so much overused than misused.

That's a shame, because it devalues attacks on real fascists like UKIP and the BNP.

I love Pork and beef and chicken, yum yum yum. For us meat eaters the sad truth is that to aid our eating enjoymen animals have to die .......... a sad truth. But as far as I'm concerned that means being killed in as humane and respectful manner as is humanly possible.
I can think of no more nausiating hobby than to find enjoyment in putting an animal through hours of distress before finally letting dogs slaughter it ..... especially when its one you cant even ****ing well eat !!!
In fact ........... Killing animals no matter how humanely shouldnt be a bloody pastime. I can not figure how anybody can find enjoyment in causing the death of another creature.

The majority of meat in supermarkets bar morrissons use halal meat, a much more cruel way to kill an animal for food than shooting it. Most hunters take great pride in not causing unnecessary suffering to animals, whilst also enjoying knowing that what they are eating is free range not living in cramped conditions.

Deer stalkers who undergo training such as DSC 2 in order to learn, amongst other things, shot placement. It will also train you as to when it is best to leave taking a shot. Obviously there is the odd bad egg but you will find most hunters really do care about the animals they kill.

If you read my reply earlier I said I wasn't talking about fox hunting. I have never been near a fox hunt so can't comment on how they feel about foxes.

Sorry for ranting. It's just that I feel very strongly about any animals being hunted in the name of sport :aok:

No problem, I just hope you can see where I'm coming from although granted it isn't quite the same issues as fox hunting.

Foxes are killers themselves so they haven't a leg to stand on, as it were.

They certainly are not facists! they speak sense about Europe and the EU and all your uncontrolled immigration you have there, they constantly expose the EU for what it is...a corrupt organisation!
which incidentally from my understanding the majority of people accross the UK would vote to leave tomorrow if there were a vote?
And so what who cares who they have on their walls in pictures...at least she never bankrupted the UK like Tony Blair (and one-eyed Brown)...oh and take you into illegal wars...which you are still paying for in case you did'nt know

Is there any need for the personal attack on Gordon Brown? I would argue immigration is beneficial to the UK as do many leading economists.

I agree with the gist of your post but you let yourself down with your comments about Gordon Brown.
UKIP is certainly not a fascist party. On many issues they talk a lot of sense and say what a sizeable amount of people in the country are all thinking.
There have been a few of their members who have come out and made some distasteful remarks on certain subjects but I'm not sure if there's any political party who hasn't had that experience.
To group them alongside the BNP is nonsense.

It's debatable. For me, the tendency to play up Britishness verges on the ultra nationalism of fascist parties.

I think take him out of the equation and there is a lot of a very nasty substance. This is the green ink brigade gathering together to challenge their 'liberal elites' and 'faceless bureaucrats'.
That UKIP exist is a sign that the mean stream parties have lost their way. Demagogues and populists always thrive where there is a weakness of leadership and purpose in the governments of the day. The Tories hat-tipping towards anti-Europeanism and anti-immigration has left the door open for UKIP to steal a march.

I said in my post that I wanted to see animals slaughtered in as humane a way as possible. I admit that that doesnt mean that its the case in all instances .... I would prefer that it were.
I am also sure that the majority of hunters ( at least those using rifles ) do their very best to try to kill as cleanly as possible. I am not a hunter so I would be prepared to accept that this is the case. But my problem was not really how good or bad the hunter was at killing, my problem was a total inability to understand why anybody would look upon the act of killing something as an enjoyable way to pass their leisure time.
