That person is clearly out of touch with thomas the tank engine, given that emily is now one of the main characters and per the opening song 'really knows her stuff'.

Reckoned at first that she was probably steaming when she put out that press release, but on reflection she'll be really chuffed with the publicity she's got out of this.

I always knew this would happen even at an early age. My Mum used to constantly want me to watch "Tommy Tank" but even back then I said "im sorry Mum but im afraid ive got some bad news" I told her i can't watch that rubbish as I knew what effect it would have on the lack of female train drivers.

Politicians of all colours will say anything over Xmas and the summer if it gets their name in the papers. Name recognition is how half of these ****ers get on in their career. It'll be the first time that most folk, outside of political anoraks, have heard of Mary Creagh.
