Cannae blame them for trying, though I think they'll fail

I don't, but that's a waste of cash surely?

I'd be shocked if they get this one, but you know who we are dealing with here..

Their manager said in his post match interview it was a red so seems strange.

There's no way they'll get that overturned, unless Craig Thomson's on the appeals panel.

It's a very strange one and can't get my head round it after this.

"Cregg's dismissal for a foul on Paul Cairney came after a drab opening and Wright thought the red card was fair.
"My initial reaction was that we can have no complaints," he said".

Won't get heard anytime soon so it's probably just to free him up for the Christmas fixtures.

Happened right in front of me - a cast iron red card IMO!

Cairney could easily have had a broken bone as a result of this tackle! :agree:

Cregg was always reckless in the tackle even during his time at ER IIRC! :agree:

Referee has already balanced it up by not giving us that penalty.

Ye can certainly question it. Does it not cost £1k to appeal it?

Excessive force - yes
High - yes
Not in control himself - yes
late - yes

It's money down the drain and could be regarded as frivolous and result in an extended ban

Exactly. With Murray Davidson and Chris Miller out and the SFA off on a series of long lunches, they obviously think it's worth paying a grand for him to play the next couple of games.

Indeed although to be fair he'd only seen it in real time as did the ref. Maybe Tommy Wright viewed the video and changed his mind?

FWIW I think it's one of the very few things the ref got right

Is it the manager that appeals?

I thought that would be the decision of the higher uppers, as it costs the club money to do so.

Yeah . Was a shocker and potential leg-breaker. Red card every day.

They're playing the system, I guess :cb

Doubt the manager actually sends the appeal away but pretty sure he'd have a big say in whether the club makes one
