Just had a look at the photos. Do they really have Five Stars above their badge?

Are they trying to pay homage to their Big Brothers across the water?

Good luck Ivan a Hibee hero! Did he go back to NI for family reasons? Seem to recall hearing something about it?

His hat-trick at Ibrox was magic. The mini-Rangers that are Linfield are a disgusting club, though.

Didn't he first want to go back home for family reasons in, ooh, 2006? He's got there at last.

Don't know much about Linfield, but while he left NI a Hun he returns as a Hibby.

Good luck to Ivan in the next chapter of his career Linfield are the top club in the N. Irish League and he will be a breath of fresh air there.

I have been over there a few times in the last few years to see a young friend of mine play for them at Windsor Park and other grounds in their league.

Walking into their stadium is like walking into the "cauldron of hate" that i call Ibrox. Red white and blue everywhere.

The boys themselves are great lads which is more that i can say of their manager, put it like this he is the most awful person i have had the displeasure of knowing!!!

I really hope Ivan does well but also hope he is wary of people like him.

Not the best player i have seen in a Hibs shirt, but he's been a big part of some of the best memories i have had in recent years.

Good luck for the future.

Ivan was one the Hibs players who just 'got it' when playing for us. He seemed to love us as much as we loved him. "He's here. he's there...." All the best Ivan, you are a true gentleman :aok:

Don't know much about Linfield, but while he left NI a Hun he returns as a Hibby.

I didn't realise he was a bluenose. I remember him saying after the Rangers hat trick game that it was difficult because some family and friends were in the Rangers support. Even so, he certainly had some sense knocked into him as he was a true servant of the club at ER.:not worth

Once asked Ivan.. - about the red card for standing on the hertz player as he went for the ball - and he said he didny really mean it.. or he would have done it a lot effing harder if he knew he was getting a red card for it.. Best o luck to you wee man.. :aok:

Outside of cup wins Ivan gave me my finest memory watching Hibs. 3-0 at Ibrox. Met Eddie Turnbull before the game. I sat in amongst the Rangers fans in the main stand. Ivan did his demolition job and then dear Alex McDonald had to give me a tour of the blue room!!! If Carlsberg did perfect saturdays....

No. Perfect saturdays are having your player of the year do (Glasgow Branch) in a Glasgow boozer on the night after Ivan scored 3 at Ibrox. Loved the wee man, but can't wish him luck at Linfield. ****bag hun club.
