Is it just me or has it become an incredibly boring, poor value for money festival?

I used to go back in the early to mid 00s and thought it was cracking - good mix of bands across the stages (Pixies, Beta Band on the main stage etc) and thought it was well priced and a decent crowd that went. All of a sudden there seems to be much less on offer and for £205 - there is more and more mainstream pop artists playing, more novelty acts, more repeat headiners (rumours that this year will see Eminem (who headlined in 2010 or 2011) and Biffy (act to have played there second most often) and more neds going.

It might well be that I've been spoiled in that I started to go to Glastonbury a few years back and if you include all the DJ areas, hidden areas and so forth there must be around eighty stages and there's always something happening no matter what time of the morning it is - huge headliners, you can take your own booze about with you, good range of acts plus comedy, circus, theatre, burlesque, spoken word, debate - and it's just a fiver more than TITP.

Has anyone else on here stopped going to TITP or do you still go and think it's as good as ever?

I've been 8 or 9 times to TITP now. Dunno if I'll be going this year.

I always hear about folk moaning about neds, but I've never had an issue with that. Fact is, in a crowd that big you're going to get a few ********s. Most folk at T are fine, and a good laugh.

It's the line up that bothers me a bit. It has seemed to get worse and worse the last few years, with prices going up and up.

Wanted to go last year but when the line up was announced it was a definite No!. People like Rihanna, Mumford and sons etc should never be headlining these sort of things but considering going next year but will wait until more acts are revealed :)

Been rubbish for years catering for the young now that like 'celebs' and all that X factor rubbish that the youngsters like these days. Would not surprise me if One Direction were headlining with little mix as support.
