I wasn't paying any attention to the TV, but I heard the familiar hesitation and staccato and I knew who it was before I looked over.

Their vocal mannerisms are identical. It get's right on ma thrupennies.

Is there something we should be told?

As long as it doesn't impede her abilities as deputy first minister, I'm not sure it's important.

Rather than branding the clearly very intelligent woman as a copycat, do you think that maybe a more plausible explanation might be that they share a coach for this sort of thing?

If this was about a Tory or Lib Dem (and probably even a Labour politician), you'd get three pages of folk agreeing and slagging off Tories and Lib Dems in general.

Because you've picked an SNP politician though, you'll get three pages of folk telling you that it's not important etc.

Yes, there's been a high take up so far, hasn't there?

I'll buck the trend and say that I think both Salmond and Sturgeon are nippy welts.

However, they are far more competent politicians than any of their counterparts in the Scottish Labour, Lib Dem or - tee hee - Conservative party.

Who is even the leader of those 3 parties these days? I'm pretty disconnected from UK and Scottish politics but, honestly, I couldn't name the leader of those 3 parties and you'd expect them to get sufficiently mentioned in dispatches.

Does anyone else recall the time that Cameron/Clegg/Osborne all came out with exactly the same phrases during three separate interviews? Can't recall the topic but that's incidental really to politicians using their briefings to hold a party/coalition line

Either is as plausible as the other.

However, I'd be surprised if a coach would teach them both to use the interjection, "Eh" in exactly the same manner or as regularly.

Regardless of why it happens, I find it bloody irritating.

I'm not a fan of either of them wee Nicola is slightly more bearable than Wee Eck. In fact most opinion polls of women show a strong dislike for him. He is my opinion an asset to the NO campaign with his arrogant manner. It's turning people off.

But previous poster are right, Hibs.net is more pro SNP as such very few criticise the great leader.

I agree with you, Lucky.

Salmond is a total turn off for me and I guess I'm not unique.

I'm as close to voting yes as I've ever been but this is despite the SNP leadership not because of them.
