Rest up and get well soon James - when fully fit you are a real asset to the side - hopefully this op will see the end of your back troubles and let you get a real run of games in before the season is out

Any idea how many months he'll be out for, anyone?

P.s - Wishing you a speedy recovery captain!

I find it a little sad that this thread has been up for an hour and a half and we've only had ONE reply wishing our captain good luck!

I wish James a speedy recovery. Maybe his form or fitness hasn;t been great but he's a passionate guy, loves the club and performs with his heart on his sleeve when he plays for us. A fit and in form James McPake is a massive asset to our defence and I hope he comes back stronger than before. Good luck Skip! :jmcp:

Wished him well already, think prior to the derby red card he was looking like the old McPake, I want him back.

End of the day, we needed him when we were toiling and he helped keep us in the SPL so I hope he recovers well. It's an op he shouldn't had long ago. I personally don't think he'll play for Hibs again but I wish him well for anything he does in the future.

A guy who did give his all for us and by doing so put his own career at risk.

Best wishes to James for a full recovery, however long it takes.
Whilst Football is his chosen profession, his long term health is more important IMO than another few years kicking a ball out about.
Take care.

Given the stick he has had on here of late, including from me at times, I wouldnt be surprised if he doesnt read H.Net.

Whatever happens I wish him the very best and I for one havnt forgotten how he played in that cup final never giving up when the bunch of losers around him had capitulated.

I would guess that some of his neighbours will keep him up to date.

I'm glad he's had the surgery and I hope he'll make a quick and complete recovery.

Fit and without distractions he's a good player and would be well worth the offer of an extension on his contract.

This 100%. The only player in a Hibs shirt that day worthy of wearing it:agree:.

Hope the op sorts the problem and he's back leading Hibs again soon.:aok:
