The Trafford bar is good but always busy, or there's one just at the bottom of SAF way which I can't remember the name of right now, or Lime over the bridge at media city.

Bishops Blaize is 5 mins from ground. At the top of Sir Matt Busby Way. Will need to get there early as fills up sharpish.

Also a good few chippys an bookies to satisfy all your needs.

Enjoy.

Might be cheaper to get a tram.

Just looked this up but I've heard the service is slow. 4 of us travelling down and the other 3 are taxi drivers so not sure I will be able to afford the tips if we get cabs all night.

Old Trafford is an awful place to have a beer or food. The whole set up is a nightmare. You can never get in a pub, everywhere is packed. People drink cans on the streets and you mostly have to walk into Manchester after the game.

The ground inside is decent though.

I would drink in centre and get taxi over seriously. I would also like to wish Everton all the best.

If you don't mind paying, get a barge trip! Google barge to old trafford, there are a couple that go, avoid traffic & bar on board. £14 pp. Come on united!

I'm going tonight as well. Maybe we should ask for a Hibee section. Want the Toffees to win but will be in the Man U end.

Exactly this.

Or failing that - in future ask Edinburghreds if you can travel down with them. Brilliant atmosphere on the bus and they go to the railway bar about 10 minutes from Old Trafford. The times I have been down I have had zero complaints.

The Britons Protection pub (50 Great Bridgewater Street, opposite the Bridgewater Hall), is a cracking Victorian boozer which sells good beer. It is only a couple of minutes walk from the Deansgate metrolink station where you can catch the Altrincham tram to Old Trafford (the journey will take around 15 minutes). The only problem is that the trams get full towards kick off.
