They've been very inconsistent though. Outclassed yesterday at home to Derby County.

probably deserved seen the league table, Curse of the Europa League! Holloway would be a good shout for his replacement

Holloway is probably the favourite as he knows that league inside out. Just like Terry Butcher in the SPFL, Holloway knows what it takes to go all the way in that league.

Haha if he does get the gig it will probably be a stick on we'll see Wigan in the prem next season or the next again. He always seems to get his teams up

since coyle walked out on burnley his career has hit the buffers, wont be out of work for long though.

This is true though the only issue with Coyle now is that he won't get a Prem job and a lot of decent Championship teams will be scared off by what will be pereceived as "the poor job he did at Wigan".

He might have to go down a league or take on a lowly Championship team to get his career back on track. He could probably walk into the next job that came up in Scotland (though maybe Celtic will be a bit put off now) but whether he would want that or not remains to be seen.

I'm pretty surprised by this news. Bound to be tough for Wigan to adjust to life in the Championship after a long spell in the EPL.
