So Terry says "Football is about firsts. We don’t do negatives, everything is positive". As a support can we adopt that mantra and ingrain it into our collective psyche? And if not then why not?

There's definitely something to be said for a positive mentality , for me it's one of the reasons why Hearts have enjoyed such success in games against us over the years.

A 1-1 draw at Tynecastle is seen as some sort of moral victory to them because they are the "big team" and the wee team obviously aren't good enough to go there and win because they are too big to lose at home.

A 1-1 draw at Easter Road is seen as some sort of moral victory to them because they are the "big team" and the wee team aren't good enough to beat them, even with home advantage.

That's why we see those creeps celebrate like they have won the league whenever they scrape a draw against us. It helps the Beasts create a positive and winning mentality...

To Answer the Why not is easy We have had years of let downs poor players inept Managers and boring soulless football to watch . can we change course we can but but it's the chicken and egg scenario. do we need the winning Team first or do we believe that under Tell and his positive Mindset that's it's only a matter of time so get up for every game and back the team like we did at the Killie cup game last. Year That atmosphere must have spurred the players on . But we had a match winner in Leigh See back to the Chicken and the Egg

The team can find their performances and results affected by the opposition, so the starting point has to be those fans who boo during the game getting behind the team because there's nothing to stop them doing so except their own negative attitude.

Maybe that message should be taken on board for the posters on this site and stop berating players and everything Hibernian!!

New era, new beginning & fresh start for everyone who wears that famous shirt!!

i'll be positive when we are in the draw for the next round...and our neighbours are not (losing the extra cash that would generate).......

Positivity is a choice, regardless of what happened yesterday you can choose to be positive today.

A positive outlook is always a good thing and can certainly be a help for any sports team.

For the fans its a wee bit different. Its hard to be positive when your team strings together a run of results in a two year period which amount to some of the worst in the clubs 130 odd year history. If we can be accused of negativity nobody can accuse us of disloyalty because we keep turning up in numbers when it matters, always in hope rather than expectation it has to be said.

I have great hopes for TB and MM and do feel more positive about the clubs prospects in the long run. A few wins strung together would certainly help promote a positive attitude though.
