Michael O'Neil must be struggling given recent performances from these 2, harsh but true imo

I'm sorry but how can Mcpake go his injuries this last year have been horrific, hibs should tell them to bolt in my opinion.

I'm just hopeful that the call ups for McGivern, McPake and OTJ give them a bit of a confidence boost, and particularly for McPake, some much needed game time. This should be seen as a good thing IMO.

They are paying MON to be involved......only way to get out of double training sessions MM has planned at EM for this week ...:greengrin

Looks like NI, want to extent managers record, think they have won 1 out of last 14 games.
Positive for Hibs is more game time for both of them.

I guess O'Neil didn't watch mcpake in the derby or mcgivern against Motherwell or ICT.

NI are absolutely woeful and he is an even worse manager.

What a chronic dearth of talent there must be in N.I. if those 2 are getting a look-in on recent "form", McPake especially.

Great to see our players getting some real support on here, they'll be overwhelmed by the well wishers.

It's a pity the 3 are away, could have done with a full squad at home and get nearly 2 weeks training under their belts under TB/MM

Fair enough Matty but I thought McGivern's performance on Satuday was an absolute disgrace and I've been a fan of his.

He must be aware the mcgivern was responsible for the last 3 goals we've conceded then.

I'd imagine so.....Seems like they were only called up after a few withdrawls from the NI squad though - http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/oneill-praise-for-ni-duos-commitment-29751295.html

Hibernian players being selected for their national sides is always good PR for the club. Good luck to both of them and if they play I hope they play well

They got a call up due to other players pulling out from the squad, i heard, i know someone who spoke to them as they went through the airport yesterday and they were happy with both the call up and appointment of TB, lets hope they come back fit and raring to go for Hibs on there return.

This.... and hopefully it's the start of them regaining some belief in themselves.

Really? Seen a lot of their games have you?

You'd think the NI support then would have been calling for him to go if that was the case? Which they weren't.

Most supporters are happy with how O'Neill is trying to get the team to play and very aware of the team's shortcomings, mostly the lack of a good enough striker at present (and the consistently poor performances against weaker sides).

Both players should be pleased to be called up and to remain in the managers thoughts. McPake knows full well he's not getting past Gareth McAuley, Jonny Evans or Aaron Hughes for a center half position. McGivern really should be competing more for the full back position but he's not playing well enough.
