Given how close to the chest the Tache has been in the past with new managers (i.e. Mogga), shirley this one has been the 'worst kept secret' of them all.

What are some of the other 'worst kept secrets' in our colourful history?
I'll start .... Murray to Rangers :grr:

Players that are not "Hibs Class" perform much better in the same league for any other club.

It's written in every players contract at ER, that when they leave they must return, have a blinder and score a peach of a goal!

Collins, Mixu, Yogi were all overwhelming favourites to get the job, not sure if other candidates were even interviewed (although I think Calderwood might have been up against one of them?). The manager is rarely from 'left field' .

Whittaker to oldco the day after our accounting year end.

That was the first one I thought of. We all knew he was signing on 1st August.

Hibs could have signed Leigh for 150k but didn't because of Rod's penny pinching. FACT.

Worst kept secret?

That Rod Petrie's house can easily be found as it's the only one with teabags on the washing line?

That Pat McGinlay was married and his wife would ocassionally and subtly support him whilst playing?

That whilst no benches at East Mains have been dedicated to anyone the treatment table is now known as the Clancy?

John Hughes wasn't a member of Mensa?
