Earlier this week a colleague of mine (yorkshireman) was in lytham and he saw an old couple collar an old guy in the street, the 2 old fellas were having a natter and the one with the wife turned to his wife and said to her "archie used to play for hibs you know!". Anyone have any idea who archie is? the guy was aged possibly late 70's - early 80's.

Blackpool hibs...... any idea?

I cant find much online about archie buchanan but lawrie reillys obituary on the the hibs historical trust site says he was born in the same month as reilly, october 1928 so he is or would have been 85

emailed said colleague a pic of archie buchanan from 1948 - he looks about 20 in the pic. and he said it could have been him.im still not sure though cant find enough info on the guy sadly, but he did do a lot in the community , found pics of him playing santa at schools , visiting sick kids etc. whether its him or not AB seemed a decent chap indeed.
