Haven't looked over on Kickback but wonder if some of them will remember their comments during the Steven Fletcher being linked to Real Madrid era.

Of course, this lad wouldn't be just a target for the youth team at Juve. He'll be the man they plan to build a team around.

Putting aside who he plays for, its always slightly disappointing seeing bigger clubs sniffing around promising Scottish youngsters - there was a similar situation at Dundee United recently with some Premiership clubs after Gauld and Souttar. Id much rather see these players establishing themselves and developing in Scotland, particularly as its important for the national team that these young guys dont just disappear into a reserve side somewhere. In this case, he probably wont end up at Juve (it just makes a good story for the paper), but it does suggest that bigger clubs will be keeping tabs on him.

Agree with your sentiments. But money talks unfortunately.

If you can get paid 4x or more than what you're on for popping up in a reserve side, many players will leap at such an offer.

Scott Allan is one that springs to mind from Utd, played once for them at 16, went to West Brom and hasn't done anything since and by all accounts would be a top SPL player even now if he had stayed.

Regarding the Yamling, he can do one as far as I'm concerned! ;)

Surely the UKIO admins must take note of this potential goldmine and knockback the piffling £2,500,001 offered in the CVA.

Mind you my nephew played for Hibs youth and has moved to Monaco Under 17s. So they are looking at youngsters from all over.

Really I think it's great when young players leaving Scotland even the Uk, our coaching setup is stinking so for young players to go abroad and learn how to train eat and live properly for athletes. so IMHO either players should move abroad.

A timely reminder of the wealth of world class talent that exists at Hearts. Conservatively, I think the Lithuanians should add around £10m to their asking price.

He would be left to rot in their youth team, even in his peak he wouldn't get near the first team, especially Juve who have one of the best defenses in the world

Another over rated player by the Yam propaganda machine. Funny how not a single player left in the summer considering their financial position. 100k from Forest for the ten million pound rated Holt, and Swansea after A. King who hasn't even featured. Not a single other offer for the best crop of youngsters in Scotland !

There is more chance of Juventus signing Rowan Vine.

Yep, the 2 main stars, Holt & Walker are being kept out U21 squad by guys who never get near the OF first team. Mind you that's equally an indictment of Billy Stark.

To be fair to these 2 players, i think Stark had been advised not to play them due to burn out

Not doubting you but doesn't really make sense Billy, he's picked 3 others who are playing more than these 2, McGhee, Paterson & McHattie.

Jamie Walker is a lot better than Holt, not sure who's in the squad that plays these positions

Reminds me of the joke some years ago

"Juventus want to take Hearts Barry , Fray Bentos will take the rest "

Are they still around ?
" Fray Bentos offers a wide range of canned meat products including our famous pies, puddings and meatballs.
