Quick heads-up for those who enjoyed the X-Files - the boxset of series 1-9 plus both movies is currently fifty quid in HMV.

8,977 minutes of viewing over 55 DVDs - a really good purchase at that price.

I started building my X Files collection (yes, geek...) about 12 years ago when the seasons were released in the big black and silver boxes of around 9 discs (these were around £80 each at that point!).

They eventually released slimline box sets of the seasons which were around £40 and I bought most of them at full price (seasons 8 and 9 were a bit cheaper as they weren't overly popular).

£50 for the full thing makes me feel a little sick TBH :greengrin

If rumours are to be believed, they're releasing them in the not-too-distant-future on Blu-Ray.

Loved the X Files but wasn't very keen on the last movie.

Do yourselves a favour and spend your fifty quid on the Sopranos boxset, you'll get it at that price in Tesco.
