Does anyone else remember that we had an Icelandic (I think) guy briefly accept the manager's job at the end of the 03/04 season only to change his mind the next day or something.

It was after Blobby left but before Mowbray was appointed.

Maybe I have just imagined it but it was out in the media and everything I think.

Have a vague recollection that he may have been at a game. Not sure if he was involved with the team or not though?

This is the guy who is responsible for the club's policy of saying nothing until everything's signed. It was all agreed verbally, Hibs made the announcement, and he rolled up to sign his contract with a list of demands. And that was the end of him!

Cheers, all coming back to me now! Forgot it had been a temporary offer for the last three games of the season. Very strange! Can't blame the guy either for accepting it for the three games but wanting to keep himself available for a permanent offer.

Can't remember the Hearts link but they have had so many starnge managerial stories over the years. Funny how there was no mention of the Hibs thing in the Hearts story. Even the journos forgot or were probably being lazy!
