I went to my third concert last year and it will be my last. A mate of mine was a big Celtic fan and wanted someone to go with so I went along in a green t-shirt.

Also, at one point I bought into that sectarian rubbish - check my PSNid!

I think the Wolfetones are a bigger draw in Scotland than they are in Ireland now. They can pack out the likes of the Barrowlands but I can remember a couple of years ago when staying with the in-laws the Wolfetones were playing a hotel in Athenry and struggled to sell tickets. A late promotional push with advertising posters being placed in the surrounding area failed to muster much more interest and a sparse crowd was reported in what was a small venue anyway.
They are a relic from a bygone age and a bit of a joke really.

There is an interesting debate from RTE`s Late Late Show with the Wolfetones on youtube that is worth a look if you have half an hour to kill.

I thought that debate was really good, apart from Noel asking about Northern Ireland's "celtic tiger", I find them hard to take seriously.

One minute they are singing "give peace a chance" - the next they are chanting "up the Ra". They can't have it both ways.

FTP and the IRA = Rangers

FTQ and the UDA = Celtic.

A tolerant club which accepts all sorts but not extreme views = Hibs.

Skintoid and relegated = hearts.
