Can't remember when a result stands?

Is it HT or something like 65 minutes?

Remember Scotland drew with Spain in Valencia due to the same problem.

Watched a good bit of it and Ross County are honking, the boy de Leeuw for me is one of the laziest hopeless players I've seen in the spl in a long time, maybe since Nade.

incidentally, had a look on ****back and some of them actually want him back now he has signed for the migh east fife

I remember a game in the late 90's against St Mirren at ER, that was postponed due to flood light failure, before ko. If Hibs had won that night, they would have gone top of the league. Can't remember the actual year though

Memory fails me. When was that? I remember the flooding if not the lights.

Monsoon conditions in a pre-season friendly under Yogi. Tade had scored after a mixup between Gatthuese (sp?) and Makalamby iirc. Gats was pretty much frozen out after that...
Floodlights failed also they tried restarting a number of times it was rather silly as it was just one floodlight but maybe that's where I've got my wires crossed - folks didn't hang about to find out the details ;)

I remember the game and seem to recall that Thicot was honking.
The abandonment had nothing to do with lights though! More to do with the moat that was gradually forming around Starks Park.

Speaking of our floodlights... I seem to recall us playing Celtic and as usual a few of the scallywags would nip over the back fence to sneak in for free but I remember maddies climbing up the floodlights - is this a 54o South induced memory or did it really happen...? Health&Safety - what health and safety? And we talk about flares (sorry smoke bombs...)

I recall this at ER and other grounds. I also recall a Celtic fan falling to his death from the roof of a covered enclosure at East End Park. Celtic were playing to win the title that night and the stadium was well overcrowded

anyway, after googling that Celtic v Hibs game abandoned after 85 mins(ended up on kerrydale st:rolleyes:)...Hibs were winning 2-0 at the time....

some sellick fan says

It was in October 1975 and there was thick fog at Parkhead. A Pat Stanton inspired Hibs were pumping us 2-0 with 10 minutes left and the ref (Iain Foote ?) abandoned the game. Hibs went nuts as they would have been clear winners. Joe Harper scored a peach for Hibs that day.

With 10 minutes left hundreds of fans invaded the park from the jungle and the ref couldn't see them in the fog. Sadly this led to a small fence being erected in front of the jungle as a punishment.

Game was replayed six weeks later and ended up 1-1.

The Hibs v Motherwell game in question was abandoned before the 20 minute mark with the score at 1-1, went to game with Bonnyrigg branch, bus was off to another hire and we had to wait till it returned after 9pm outside the old bakery, bloody freezing. When the game was replayed, Hibs won it 1-0

I cried myself to sleep that night. We totally pumped them - Stanton was unplayable - totally majestic! The mist rolled in but the game could have been played to a finish.

We were also the better side in the re-arranged fixture!

Pretty sure we were absolutely tanking them on the park and the suggestion at the time was they pulled the lights because they didn't like what was happening :-)
