What a very strange story this is - as this guy had been declared legally dead for more than 3 years, the law does not allow the courts to officially overturn this and recognise the guy as alive.

Does this mean he could walk into the middle of downtown Columbus and commit an array of crimes or conversely, could someone murder him and not be convicted as he's not legally defined as existing?

Very strange story...

Just have to amend the law.

That drug smuggler who got hanged in Iran: living but being nursed back to health so they can try again.

I was reading about how some of Putins pals had a trial of one of his enemies corpse. Can't remember the blokes name, but he had died in mysterious circumstances.

Actually, no mystery at all about how he died, or who killed him.

Read about this the other day, it's absolute madness.

Surely common sense has to prevail and they amend the law to reflect the fact that the guy has now turned up alive and well!

That's obscene.

As obscene as American doctors giving medication to mentally-ill patients on Death Row so that they'll be legally sane when they're executed.

Surely the fact they are on medication means they are not sane?

If you take Insulin, you're still diabetic.

Are you saying that conventional medicine is incapable of curing disease and merely manipulates the symptoms to create an outward semblance of 'normality'? :cb

I guess the police (or anyone for that matter) could then just as easily shoot him without repercussions as he is not legally in existance.
