Can't lay my hands on previous threads but does anyone gave a list of European teams who play in green?

Like the look of that St Gallen mob tonight vs Swansea. Oldest club in mainland Europe, green and white colours, first strip hoops, capacity 19,000

IIRC there are a couple of Bruges clubs.

FC Bruges play in blue and black (and are the bigger, more successful club, I think).
Cerlce Bruges play in green, white and black.

Imo the 2nd best team to play in green are Wolfsburg, not because of the football, but because of the logo on the shirt and the factory in the city :-)

Göteborg (known as GAIS) from Sweden and some Section 43 have had a friendship for a couple of seasons now. Several attended games over there and vice versa. 3 GAIS met us on Malmo and came to the match with us.

I have this vague recollection of seeing a photo of Liverpool at home in a European tie (possibly UEFA Cup Final(?)) in the mid 70s, where the team they were playing were wearing Hibs style strips.

Does anyone know who that was? I was convinced for a while it was Club Bruges but they don't seeem to play in green and white.

I've already searched in vain but can't find any photos online.

I'm more of a Hammarby I.F guy myself. Been a few times and the fans are mad! Now in the 2nd tier as the team is crap but still have a decent loyal following. One, if not the largest independent supporters clubs in all Scandinavia and a typical working class club.

Aye, for me it was a couple of Swedish girls i know supported Hammarby and the obvious green n white colours made it easy for me to kinda follow them too. Had one or 2 great trips in the past there, magic atmosphere too but now moved to a new super stadium. :greengrin

Akhisar Belediyespor- green and black stripes, Supa Lig
Bursaspor- green and white stripes, green shorts and a player called Taiwo! Supa Lig
Caykur Rezespor- green and blue stripes, Supa Lig
Konyaspor- green and white hoops, green shorts, Supa Lig
Karsiyaka SK- green and red stripes, First
Denizlispor- green and black stripes, First

A few teams but Bursaspor seem to have most in common with us.

Just watching atletico nacional in the copa libertadores and it reminded me about this thread. Play in green and white. Didn't score and let in 2 so more in common with us than just the strip colours :(

watched a good documentary made by espn a while back called the two escobars. Worth a watch if you've never seen it. Pablo Escobar owned the club and Andres was the captain, the guy who was shot during USA 94. Neither are related in case you wondered. They had a great team in this era with Escobar, asprilla, rene higuita, Luis Perea, leonel alvarez and more. Won the cops libertadores in 1989 and formed the spine of the Colombia squads of 1990 and 94

Still not the team in Hibs colours. They wore an all-greenstrip, also much lighter green than Hibs.

Does nobody know the team that played Liverpool at Anfield in the 1970s wearing Hibs style strips?
