There has been far too much points scoring on recent threads around Remembrance, Armistice and poppies (on both sides of the divide) and I am getting heartily pissed off with it all.
Many soldiers died and are currently dying and I suspect the last thing they are likely to think of in their dying moment is whether they are a Jambo or a Hibee. They are all people and deserve our gratitude.
Remembrance has absolutely nothing to do with one side of the town or the other.
I look forward to seeing all those who have commented thus far at the city chambers on Armistice Sunday - but suspect I won't.
Please do not reduce the ultimate sacrifice of hundreds of thousands of men, women and children (including some of my friends) to a cheap argument.
