Joe Davin RIP

A former Hibs player, Joe Davin, died yesterday in Dumbarton. Joe played for Edinburgh Thistle before joining Hibs in 1959, he moved to Ipswich Town four years later and returned to Scotland in 1966 when he joined Morton before finishing his career with Dumbarton after he joined them in 1967. In his time with Hibs he did not command a regular starting place in league games but did turn out in a number of the early European games.

Another of those players who slip into the history of our club with little recognition of their efforts in green and white, which is a real shame

He played in some of the first games I saw in the early 60s. I used to get his name mixed up with Joe Davis!
