I see Celtic have just posted their results. I hope the link works below.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24207406

£75m t/o and £9 odd million profit (or £3m after the sale of Ki Sung)

Couldn't really give a toss about them but in all seriousness how do we (or any other Scottish team) ever compete with that t/o which is about 9x ours. In reality we do pretty well given the imbalance.

Off topic but for me the league has been far better without The Rangers and would be more competitive still without Celtic. Pipe dream I know.....

It's like this...

They buy out all the best talent in the league, either to use against us, or to sell a year or 2 later for a tidy profit. Then they complain to us about the lack of competition.

Celtic haven't bought a player from an SPL club since August 2010 (Stokes).

As impressive as their results are, they're still getting left behind by English competitors. Even bottom feeders in the EPL this year will have greater incomes than that.

Does make a mockery of 'armageddon' forecasts.

The only pleasure in Celtic's success is how much it is seriously hurting the Sevconians.:cb

We compete against Celtic the way they do against Barcelona so nothing is impossible.

Except that's not been true for quite a few years now.

Celtic have bought smartly in the Asian ans African markets and done well both on and off the park because of it.

Celtic are doing things in a fairly smart way, but the ultimate example is Porto; constantly selling players on for big profits, while their scouting system has the next wave of gems ready to take their places.

Essentially, only a few clubs can exist without fear of their best being taken from them, the further removed from them you are, the greater the need to plan for it. SPL clubs are lucky to get or 2 or 3 seasons out of a good player these days...

Interesting one this...

Is it unacceptable for Celtic to sign players from us (and other SPL clubs) but acceptable for us to sign players from other SPL clubs like Craig, Jones & The Heff...

Exactly. Where do you draw the line. For all Celtic's £75m is a healthy turnover, its nout compared to Barca's £500m+, yet they can still get a result.

And we only lost once in the three league games against Celtic last year. It can happen.

Am I right in thinking these results dont include the money from the sales of Wanyama , Hooper and Wilson? Thats about 20 million quid.
