The Easter Road hitman lifted the trophy two years ago as Kilmarnock stunned Celtic and he sees no reason why he can’t enjoy another day of celebration (http://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/sport/football/hibs/paul-heffernan-hibs-can-win-league-cup-1-3100978#) at Hampden next spring. Heffernan set Killie on the path to silverware, scoring a hat-trick in their opening game as they dumped Queen of the South 5-0 at Rugby Park, and is hoping for a similar start when Pat Fenlon’s side face Stranraer at home on Tuesday night.

He was responding to Twitter questions on Hibernian TV, had been talking about targets for the club this season and had said that a top 6 finish should be the least we should look to achieve with the current squad, then he was asked.. " Obviously our league cup run starts against Stranraer next week, you've obviously won the league cup with Kilmarnock do you feel that's perhaps a realistic aim aswell?

Answer "Definitely, we've got stranraer in that, the year we won it with Kilmarnock we didn't meet an SPL side until the final against Celtic so you can be lucky with a couple of draws and before you know it your in the semi final at Hampden, and anything can happen, a good cup run always breeds confidence aswell so hopefully we can do that."

Now that took me all of about 5mins to type up word for word, just how lazy are these reporters getting.. :rolleyes:
