FWIW I'd probably bring back McPake who also has hardly played and stick Hanlon or Stevenson at LB with Forster at RB.

Collins needs a partner up front and Heffernan links up intelligently, so I think playing these two up front will create chances for each other. Zoubir should be given an opportunity to show what he can do and could catch a few teams out as an unknown entity. Good to have Thompson back and Robertson and Craig have shown an eye for goal. The OP team is what I would go with but if McGivern is out then Forster at RB and switch Stevenson to a more familiar role at LB.

Well, if McPake's not ready and McGiverns unfit I'm guessing Fenlon will go with Hanlon and Stevenson as the full-backs with Forster in the middle beside Nelson. The middle looks strong enough but I would imagine St J will target the FB's.

I have no idea what team Pat might put out on Saturday, I doubt it will be an attacking one though. I reckon Zoubir will start on the bench, as will Heffernan, unless he is employed in a midfield role and barring injuries, will start with the same team and tactics as he did against Ross County.

Maybe, but he's really a centre-back, Scott. But how Fenlon will line them up is anyone's guess.

The one thing I AM sure of is that he needs to start playing both Collins and Heffernan up front, with Caldwell as the striker sub for the last 20 minutes or so. And Zoubir really should play at some point on Saturday as well, unless we have an epidemic of injured defenders ....

No way should McPake even be considered fior the first team at this point. Needs at lease 4 full games to prove he is ready to play first team football. Its very different playing for the u20s.

Pretty general agreement on here about most of goalkeeper - Williams, midfield - Zoubir, Robertson, Thomson and Craig and strikers - Collins and Heffernan.

I'd certainly be happy with that - in fact - if Zoubir and Heffernan settle well they could represent our top line up for those areas of the team.

Defence is more difficult - especially with injuries. Hanlon will definitely play and probably beside Nelson although I'd prefer Forster. I don't think McPake will feature for a few games yet until he's stronger. If McGivern's out then it's got to be Lewis at left back. Let's face it - he's been one of our best performers this season. It's just a question of whether it's Mullen, Maybury or Forster at right back? Personally I'd go for Mullen because a) he's a right back and b) he will be desperate to make up for his previous performances.

I hope the new lads play, we really need to start playing better and the French guy has been at the club a couple of weeks now, so clearly is ready and fit - Whilst Heffernan surely was signed to play and partner Collins, otherwise why sign him at all.
