Good Idea???
Or bad idea??
I really don't think they should be adding modern features to such an iconic structure.
Thoughts?

I think it's an excellent idea.
I'd love to have a look at the views from "within" the bridge and from the top of it.

SNP are looking at opportunities for new tourism as we'll need it to survive should Scotland get independence.

Unless I'm missing something here, the headline Plan for viewing platform at top of Forth Rail Bridge is totally misleading as the platform is not at the top of the bridge but somewhere below it

If you watch the video you'll see that the platform would be on top of the bridge with access via a lift fixed to the outside of the structure. I think it's a great idea, although it'll take a while to recoup the initial investment.

I think it's a great idea. the bridge obviously has a lot of stories behind it and theres no other like it in the world. As long as any platform is discreet and doesn't interfere with the the look of the bridge, Why not? I would love to go up and check out the view. I can see the bridge from some areas in Livngston and when travelling home from work in Edinburgh, so the view would cover a massive area.

I'm not pro-Independence but that is tiresome, factually inaccurate pash.
I think it would be awesome myself. Would be up there in a flash on a sunny day.

It's a good idea and I'd visit. Wonder if you could see the top of ER from there.

From what I've been reading about Saturday's game, the top of the bridge is still too close.
