Bit laughable of Greenslade to talk about being 'impartial', he could do with some himself.

Excellent account however nothing we really didnt know about the shameful episode. In Scotland in the main we get the mainstream media we deserve when rags like the Sun and Record are the biggest sellers.

Havent heard how Jackson's legal case of suing John Collins who had accused him of working for Rangers went? Strange one that.

Its lame how bad jounros at these rags are. Sadly the answer is their audience is in the weeg and they play to the masses. Remember Jackson with Willie Mckay too. Best agent in the world players career in mind too when he looks to move them from OF he is a snake.

Traynor/Jackson every word they say is hunbelievable.

Anyone who buys the Sun or Record just to get their intelligence insulted over football or politics gets exactly the media they deserve.

Celtic and Rangers have strangled the Scottish game for over thirty years and the media has been their main tool. A successful Aberdeen and D.utd and a league challenge from Hearts in a short period of time scared the life out them and their crowds fell as a result. They removed the competition at that point and it has never returned. They dont want a fair fight.

Alex Ferguson wrote some article recently about how we remember the glory days but he said it wasn't like that. Football has come on leaps and bounds stadiums are better violence is lesser etc etc. Rubbish . Football needed to bring itself into a new century, Yes but the competition globally in domestic leagues has never been worse.

What are the gentleman's affiliations?

Well, he's ex-Mirror for one, which is the sister paper of the Record, so I am not quite sure how that has affected this article?

Yes, we have seen this all before, but I'm glad that Jackson and Traynor have been exposed by their colleagues in the media. Their reputations must be mud by now. Hopefully, a wake up call to the BBC and others - hire people who are competent journalists and have integrity.

The BBC reporting of the Rangers affair has been far more reputable, as can be seen from the fact the Rangers support hate them as a 'leftie anti-Rangers organisation'. It's amusing the way they accuse anything and anyone they suspect of being left wing of anti-Rangers bias. A cynic would think it's because they fear any such organisation might ask tough questions of the neo-fascist behaviour of Rangers fans

The good news is Jabba's doing as good a job at newco as he did at DR for years. I mean we never hear any negative stories coming from Greyskull now the great journo is in charge, do we! Enjoying the gig Jimbo?

I recall the persistance with which the BBC referred to 'The Rangers' as having been 'relegated' to Div 3, perpetuating the myth that their presence in that division was a punishment.

Jackson has started to appear on Radio Scotlands nightly fitba programme. I suppose that since Traynors left someone has to fill the undercover hun position:dunno:

Jacksons role as Willie McKays media stooge during the whole KT to Rangers saga was as blatant a piece of media manipulation as you will ever come across. Hes just a slimmer version of Traynor.
