Just reading that a Coral punter in Bournemouth had 14 out of 15 results up correctly in the football jackpot, with hibs the only side to let him down.. He still collects £15,836 for his efforts but with hibs not winning it cost him £1million..

madness to be punting us!!! Cracking effort mind but that's a sickener...

Petrie!!! :grr:

Anyone backing Hibs at the moment is asking for a burst coupon. He will just need ti suck it up.

Surprised he was capable of getting another 14 right, if he chose Hibs in his line.

Wow, that would hurt. I take it we'll now have to live with the fact the poor guy will hate Hibs for the rest of his life. Big gamble backing us to win just now, though.

Presumably the odds of us winning a match are what made his potential jackpot so big :cb

Would it not be good PR for the club if they invited him along to a game? :dunno:

Although I suspect he'd hate us even more after that.

There will have been a certain amount of luck in a couple of his other picks I expect. The Hibs prediction says it all. To the lay punter that was surely an away win with only the brave favouring a draw? Never mind a Hibs win!

Not so much that we burst his coupon as his luck finally ran out with us.

Can see Petrie inviting him to a category A match and charging him for the higher-priced ticket. :greengrin

Something not right here. Cant see how Hibs winning would have taken him from 15K to 1 Million?

Hibs to win at home to Dundee United at 65/1? Sounds about right to me! :greengrin

I would imagine the bet was part of Coral's version of the "Millionaire" coupon in which you get guaranteed payouts for 5, 10 and 15 predictions correct - with £1m being the prize for all 15. The £15,000 odds that he won will probably be the minimum win for 10 correct at his chosen stake on that particular weekend.
