Rett Syndrome

On 14 th -17 th August 2013, we will be walking along the canal from Liverpool to Leeds in 4 days, to raise vital funds to speed treatment to find a cure for Rett Syndrome. Rett is the leading cause of severe disability in girls. It has similar prevalence to Cystic Fibrosis and yet not many people have heard of it. We want that to change.

Day 1 Liverpool to Wigan = 35 miles*Day 2 Wigan to Burnley = 36 milesDay 3 Burnley to Skipton = 27 milesDay 4 Skipton to Leeds = 29.25 miles

A lot of this what we are doing is raising awareness and there will be families in Scotland with children with Rett and struggling. I know my Friends family went through this for years.*Have a little watch of this video as well.*127 mile walk.....

Had a cousin with Angelmans Syndrome which has many of the same symptoms and characteristics of Rett.
