Diddy team draw eh. One good thing about finishing 7th in the league.

Can someone explain how this draw is worked out as I see Ross County and Dundee United are in at this stage.

The Second Round of this season's competition will be seeded and will involve the 15 winners from the First Round and the following clubs: Ross County, Dundee United, Aberdeen, Kilmarnock, Heart of Midlothian, St. Mirren and Dundee.

Teams that qualified for Europe go in a round later. That doesn't explain how Inverness aren't there though

Do we not have 1 less European spot this year (or did we get another europa spot instead of 2 club spots?). Might be to do with numbers entering at next round in other years so ict are best of the rest and get to join in next round.

I wonder who will be the non seeds in the next round if we're seeded?

Teams that qualified for Europe get a bye. The next best placed team who didn't qualify for Europe also get a bye, in this case ICT.

I trust the above is sufficient. :greengrin

If we make it to Semi Final stage, the game is scheduled for first weekend in February, which would mean the cancellation of Inverness away, and the possibility of a midweek away match up there.....Joy......

What a shame for the Yams, no bumper home gate and expect few travelling fans for the Wee Cup. Probably lose money on that one... shame :greengrin

That is actually ridiculous. The usual OF favouritism from the SFA.

Anyone?

15 ties in round one (30 SFL teams)
11 ties in round 2, winners of the above plus 7 SPL teams = 22 teams
Round 3, 11 winners ove the above plus 5 SPL seeded teams!

Dundee were in the SPL last season, seeds & entry level based on last season's positions.
Dead easy

This. It goes by last seasons standings. And as Dundee were SPL/ premiership last season...

The " The Rangers", won't win the League Cup and they won't win the Scottish Cup, but with the the people that are there now, Super Sally leading them to the Fuh Cup looks nailed on.

I don't see there being any shocks in those fixtures.

Raith Rovers in the next round, please.

No real shocks here identified by Billy Whizz & we know QOTS can be tough opposition as Pat found out last year by playing an under strength team in Dumfries.

I'd be happy with Dumbarton at home next round, it will be dark come KO time in Sept so a nice game under the lights.
