1-0 to the Yams. We have four goals ruled out for no obvious reason and Thomson awards them a penalty in the 93rd minute for a foul on the halfway line committed by Ryan Stevenson. He then insists on a retake when Williams does his usual, before booking Williams for handball when he saves the second attempt and the Yams finally succeed with their third attempt only because Thomson stands directly in front of Williams.

If we score first half I reckon we can go on to score 2 or 3 more all due to confidence and if Williams is on form I can see us keeping a clean sheet.

But on the other hand if we don't turn up I can see it being a boring 0-0... and obviously there will be some dodgy, biased decision form that Jambo fud of a ref.

5-1 Hearts. A Hearts player to remain on the pitch after blatant assault. A penalty to be awarded to Hearts for a foul outside the box. A Hibs player to be sent off for daring to make 2 tackles in the entire game. Hearts to get play-on advantages when they're in dangerous positions and Hibs only to get freekicks when playing on would have been more of an advantage. Hearts to finish the game with 12 men, Hibs to finish the game with 8 men. (1 sending off and 2 players with broken legs)

It will be 0-0 with 80 mins gone, we have dominated but have hardly created a decent chance.

PF panics & throws on Paddy McCourt who sets 1 up for Collins and scores one himself after 97 mins which Thomson has added on trying to get a Hearts equaliser.

In short 2-0 Hibs. :flag:

Think Collins and Vine will both score, IMO they have the makings of a good partnership, [ now before some smart-rse comes on and points out they haven't played a competitive game together, I am basing my statement on having seen them individually, and think they are both intelligent forwards], . Whether or not we concede any depends on what back 4 we have available. Will go for a 0-2 win for us.

Some wonderful accounts of woe regarding C.Thomson.

Reckon our defence will let in at least one, particularly if any of their attacking players have pace. However, if Vine plays with Collins we could have an interesting partnership. Fenlon, for GOD sake, put some pressure on these monkeys. You know it makes sense!! :agree:

Going for 1-3 if we go for it,

1-1 if we go soft.

It depends if we are cautious or really set out to attack them imo. We should be going for it with everything we've got. Losing to this Hearts team is unthinkable, as is drawing. If we go for it, and we really believe in ourselves and attack them, I'll go with 3-1 to us. I reckon there'll be a few strange ref decisions and if we win, it will be a case of "we are a young side still developing" excuse nonsense from them.

Agree with that, but to be fair if we do win well, their excuse is a reasonable one. It not often you get to take on a Hearts youth squad, handicapped by a transfer ban and being skint. Which is why we really need to grab this with two hands and try to give them a doin..:flag:

We have a squad with Vine, McGivern and Forster coming back, that is easily as good, and vastly more experienced than Hearts. We have the players to get a win. Just needs belief, desire, and sensible tactics. If we use their enthusiasm against them we could pick them off.

You may well be right but I've a feeling that Hearts will really go for it in this game, even draws are no use to them and in a way they've nothing to lose. If they do manage to beat us (and possibly cost Fenlon his job) then we'll never hear the end of it.

We have to make sure we are up for this games as Hearts & their fans certainly will be, if we are positive I think we will get quite a few chances in this game and hopefully take 1 or 2 of them as they look like they will struggle to score goals this season, we really don't want to lose to them as after the Malmo game it will be hard to take.

If we apply ourselves properly I can't see us losing.

Totally agree, Hearts pretty much have a team youd expect in a reserve or U23 game (whatever thats called now), all kids with a couple of senior players. If Fenlon gets it right we should have more than enough to beat them. Whether he will is a completely different matter...

A lot of the times when the teams are even (this is not the case this time) it's the team lower in the league that takes the points. Hearts -15 and Hibs on 0 points. Hearts need the points more than we do to avoid relegation but do they have the players to do it? On the other hand Hibs haven't scored in their last three competitive matches and didn't look any closer to scoring at the weekend. You might think therefore, 0-0 or one or other to get lucky and win 1-0. Hibs will be nervy and probably more so than Hearts because Hearts have nothing to lose.

To be honest im not sure what to think of sunday, it all depends on what pat plays.....but remember we have vine back as the second striker should fenlon decide to play more attacking, I thought we created a few decent chances on sunday v well, collins had a header and craig should have done better with his effort. add in robertsons volly and a couple of dangerous balls into the box from set pieces i think we will create a lot more than some on here expect. I hope mcgivern is back as I prefer him at LB and is good at getting forward. On paper its a no brainer who the winners should be, and comfortable winners at that. :pfgwa

Belief and desire are key in a derby match . Scoring first will be vital. The prize is more than three points . These mutants have got off fairly scot free of reality over this summer for some reason . When we win, it will bring that reality to clear focus. They will realise , they are going bust. They are bust , they are not staying up , have no chance of survival ...it's more than 3 points - it basic kills their season in game 2

We will do it .

Having also had a look most of the posters saying daft scorelines are doing so in jest.

Most of them seem to suggest it will be 0-0, and its hard to argue with that. We dont set up to score and they dont really seem to have anyone upfront. Based on the players we have we should win, I dont think anyone would argue with that, but when has it ever been that simple for us!

Hearts do look a poor side at the moment, in saying that it's a derby at Tynie & Thomson is the ref so anything could (and probably will) happen.

If we play well we should win this game and look good value at the bookies to do so.

Going for 2-0 Hibs with a goal in each half, Hibs HT/FT is 9/2 with the bookies, having a tenner on that.

'Golden-Shower Lockie' will have them fired up (players and fans) like no derby before. Pat Fenlon's body-language in recent games, makes me think he's lost 'it' - couple that with our predilection for embarrassment, I fear they'll win. I disagree. I think the players will be under no illusions as to the importance of this game to the club....and especially the fans. They will be up for it big style, they know they owe us a result. Like every Derby, we need to win the battle first and we will. Then, our better players all over the park will win it. I expect us to win comfortably. Anything less and heads must roll.

This is the worst Hearts side I've ever seen in my life. I'm 31, and after 30+ years of them cheating, there's now a level playing field where they are only paying what they can afford.

They need to be, and they should be, destroyed tomorrow.

I expect us to win tomorrow because we have a better team. If any team in the world can make a mess of it though, it is of course Hibs. This is the worst Hearts team in my life time. Lets hope Fenlon knows that and attacks them. If fenlon sits back and plays to sneak a win or get a draw he can **** off.

Even if that mob didn't have a rank team I still expect us to win. Why should we always go into it thinking "**** another derby we will get beat".

Its 11 v 11, a winners mentality should be installed in the players. Lose unthinkable plain and simple, just go out and ****ing destroy them for once. They need a good pumping.

I know I knocked Pat recently but the Fenlon way last season was to remain unbeaten v them and in the last derby play the best football we've played there in seasons. I'll take that kind of 'Fenlon way' tomorrow.

Whilst many of us are not happy with Fenlon and he could well be gone if we don't win this one, I would take Pat every day over the tactical genius that Hearts have in the dugout.

Locke is only there as they could not afford to hire anyone else, his record at Hearts is poor and he has never recorded a win against us as manager and to make matters worse he now has BB to help him.

Bearing in mind it's a derby at Tynie with a certain ref in charge I'm still confident we have the better players who should be capable of winning this game comfortably, in saying that whilst winning by a few goals would be nice I would take any sort of win so if it's 1-0 then great.

They have nothing to lose tomorrow and will be well fired up as will their fans so we have to make sure we match that as losing to what is their weakest side I can remember just doesn't bear thinking about.

If our midfield breaks stuff down like last week (likely, I think), but also gives Collins and Vine some decent supply (maybe less likely, but I just think the yams are going to have gaps in the back/mid that even our boys will not be able resist passing forward through), then I think we'll score at least two. Can't see them scoring at all. A great day out beckons (not that I'll be there, but not bothered at that).

Although I really hope we stuff them good and proper Hibs have been totally hopeless so far this season.

We also have to contend with a referee whose record in giving decisions against us has been almost as embarrassing as our own performances.

Lastly all the pressure I feel is going to be on Hibs as the yams have nothing to lose and nobody is expecting them to win.

It would be great to score seven but I can honestly see Hibs letting the support down yet again.

Hearts are there for the taking and the weakest they've been in my lifetime.

Unfortunately I dont think we have it in us at the moment to put 4-5 goals past them, especially without Harris.

I think it'll be a scrappy game that we'll edge by a single goal.

2-1 Hibs.

Hearts in their current situation and in a Derby regardless of how poor a squad it may appear will IMO be extremely dangerous as fighting for life every week and some players hoping to impress for a move.

I have no idea what Hibs team or Hearts team will turn up but no scoreline to any team would surprise. I have been more confident going into other Derbys.

the whole world knows just how benevolent hibs teams have been for decades now

1. any player not scored a goal for a few years= up steps hibs

2. any team on a poor run of results= up steps hibs

3. any player looking for his first senior goal= up steps hibs

4. any player that's never scored a goal for their club= up steps hibs
