Jonaton Johansson is coach for the Mothers apparently got me thinking about those that would form the team (surely we've had enough) of enigmatic players flashes or brilliance or just plain lost it maybe never even had it. So lets construct the Hibs Enigmatic 11...

Makalamby - 6'7" Belgian under 21 keeper from Chelsea. Should have offered more of a commanding physical presence. In the end a granny could have shoved him off a bus. Always a tough gig after Zibbis steady tenure ;)

Joneliet - did he even get a game?

Jonaton Johansson - surprisingly came after the Swedish season yet was unfit and then iirc was injured. Promised much with a high pedigree yet delivered nada.

Tam McManus - scored a peach against Celtic - eh maybe that was just it ;)

Janis Mathais - was quite good think we got rid due to wages? Think he even got a pic of him as you walk up to the stairs from the main reception at ER....

Joe Keenan - I think even he was probably surprised when he got the call let alone a game for the Hibs.

Steve Pineau - Season loan from Genoa - did he even make a bench once? Why?

Humphrey Rudge - Why bring in then don't give him a real chance then went on to play in champs league.

perhaps I better stop before it turns into a crap 11....

Ah yes the forgotten man. Forgotten - although funnily enough I did have him in mind as I typed just slipped out of my mind - kind of poetic ;)

Alen Orman - a peach against the Huns, followed by ..... :dunno:

And similarly, Kevin McCann (Bad injury so we'll never know if he 'had it')

Went on to play in the champions league I believe. By which i mean champs league proper.

Just checked. According to this website, we paid £100k for him... Jeezo. Though I wouldn't take everything it says as gospel, as apparently he only played 6 games for Thun, all of which were in the champions league....

Junior Agogo, feel free to add any of Coco the Clowns signings from the south, the more I think about it the more I wonder if they were just guys he knew and he brought them along for company on his many train journeys to and from home after he popped into ER to see how things might be going.

I really thought this guy was going to be a good player for us the first time I saw him.
IIRC, after a few peely wally games .... whoosh! He was gone before you could say 'McPherson'.

Rougier. Could generally tell how his game would go in the first five minutes - if he beat his man could be great if he didn't you may as well have hooked him right away...

If I recall, he scored a screamer against Morton in the League Cup, and Joe Keenan also scored.
