So it's a choice between Friday 30th or Saturday 31st, right?

The prospect of the window slamming shut on a weekend night has filled Deadline Day aficionados with a sense of excitement not experienced since Hearts appointed Jim Duffy as manager.

However, Hibbyradge has learned that the new body in control of Scottish football has robbed us of a day to surpass any other.

The summer window doesn't close until Monday 2 September!
