View Full Version : How many nonentities - I mean 'new players' - has PF brought in?

Anybody care to have a stab at a definitive list of the 'new players' the current regime has brought to ER?

I'm guessing it will be somewhere around two dozen.

Thanks guys. I'm guessing that once Paddy has had time to 'bring his own players in', thereby bringing an end to this 'period of transition' that we've been going through, then everything is going to be simply rinky dinky.

About as many as he's removed.

He's managed to take players that would usually get paid around 500-1000 p/w and pay them 2500-5000 p/w.

I don't have much of an issue with the players that we have in the squad at the minute. Seem to be bringing the right players in. It's just how they're being used.

:agree:

I agree with this, I think we have a decent squad of players.
Pat needs to be more adventurous, for me he is far to negative in his approach.

See what the derby brings in his team selection,if he plays Vine up front with Collins and we go 4 4 2 then fair enough.
If he doesn't,that jaicket that's on the shoogly peg will have just fallen off.

You haven't even got the teeny tiniest bit of a clue, have you?

I think Pat has done pretty well in improving the quality of the squad, and his earlier signings were his worst.

Bold means they are in the squad, unbold means they've been punted or left the club
Just my opinion regards good/bad

I'd have Claros in "Great", Thomson in "Good" until we see him build on yesterday and Murdoch has to be "Uncertain" given that he's barely played.

In addition he's given chances to Caldwell, Handling, Harris, Forster and Stanton.

From what I gather (wasn't at game) from my bro(who was at game) KT was by far our best player.

Think he will prove what a very very good player he is.

I'd agree with the first part and hope you're right on the second, but it's too early to anoint him as great after mediocre performances last year.

Utter garbage. Hibs Manager has no input into players wages. Also, no hibs player gets nothging like £2500.

Petrie sets the wages and has been doing the contracts since around 1998.

Sorry but you saw it last season or in flashers anyway... His best game was v Dons at ER.

Once and once we get going (and we should be bloody going by know) I believe that we have a very good Spine... Williams, Nelson, KT, Collins

Vine for me will be an excellent foil for Collins... I am expecting really good things from Craig and think he has the potential to be a very big player as is Robertson.

I really think the prob is PF and he doesn't know how to get the best out of the players.
