It's painful to watch that sh*t today. How long do we have to put up with this?

What I'd do to see just three passes made in a forward direction again!

A 22 pass move only interupted for a free kick. It's like watching barca compared to this lot we have today

David Murphy - loved watching him play.

I counted 5 times wee Lewis had a throw in and instinctively looked to throw it back the way today TC - each time a quick throw forward into space was on.

There is no one at the club insisting the game is played at pace. It should be second nature to look forward instead of back (at set pieces).

Says it all for me.

Over a year on and numerous signings we're still like it!

Time for Fenlon and Petrie to step down.

Hibs have been underperforming, relative to the support size, infrastructure etc with the odd upward blip for 30 years. What I cannot understand is why a proven highly successful businessman, like Sir Tom, has not been able to inject his self confidence, will to win attitude on Hibs. We constantly change managers, make short term panic signings to no avail. The issue is much deeper than Pat Fenlon and frankly there is no point sacking him and blowing a few hindered thousand quid in doing so if the core is broken. Surely Sir Tom needs to think again about the common denominator and to me it increasingly looks like the problems rest with our Chairman

Boozy absolutely bossing it. Our midfield back then was top class!

I can kind of see where you're coming from, kind of. But is your point that we got beat 5-1 by Hearts in a cup final so anything is better than that? Because that's not really a point.

I'm not one to criticise the team unjustly, but I'm ****ing sick of it. Enough is enough.

Quite depressing waching that TBH, beautiful football, making a good rangers team look stupid - those were the days! Significantly different to what we watch nowadays. Nobody bustin a gut pressing forward, pushing the opposition right onto the back foot.

:top marks

The two of them Fenlon and Petrie need to go and (said on a previous thread) without Petrie anywhere near the club i'd like to see anyone of O'Neil, Collins, Murray or Hartley in the hotseat.

Yep.

We have talent in the team, we just don't have the mentality or the tactics. Ultimately, who is to blame for that? I've never wanted Fenlon to go, even after the first final but come on. Enough is enough.

Things have been better things have been worse, lets balance it out. I don't disagree, with you I'm as pissed of as I have been for a while but there's perspective imo

O'Neill - Wouldnt come to us, even if he would im not so sure.
Collins - Cant see him back whilst Petrie is still here but should he go then id be all for it.
Murray - One day yes, but hes too inexperienced just now. Id bet everything I have, on him one day being Hibs manager though.
Hartley - :faf: no. keep that greasy hairy ****er away from my club.

I can understand what your saying with regard us lackign a will to win and to be frank its worse than poor.
as for sir tom farmer, i must ask how much time/input, control does he have at our club?
its a genunine(sp). question and i must say i do not have an answer to it.As far as i can see(away back here and without any inside or close knowledge) Imo it seems like he has limited input and has maybe said to rod petrie you deal with the club and let me know how things go.
Does he go to board meetings?
does he phone rod up every week,month,3 months 6months?

Breaks your heart watching that.

The thing is, we played like that regularly under Mowbray and that was why we averaged 14.5k and it was difficult to get tickets for category A games.

I remember getting frustrated as hell at times as we didn't always finish teams off aka dundee st home when we were something like 4-1 up but the football was world's apart from the tosh we see now.

Some of the football we played under Mowbray and Collins was simply wonderful, a joy to watch.
